J.Lynn was born in San Francisco California, where at the age of 4 moved to Los Angeles. His love for music, old school soul and R&B to be precise, began at an early age. His family would always play a different number of artists, from Al Green to Luther Vandross to Teddy Pendergrass.
Influenced by this old school sound, he began to develop a foundation based solely on this 90s and sooner sound. J.Lynn began singing at the age of twelve by simply listening and getting a feel for his own voice. It wasn't really until 2012-2014 where he then put out a covers mixtape entitled "Jukebox". From there his voice began to get better with everyday practice. He released a song called, "Drop It Loww," and after showing this and a few new ideas to Pat Weston and David Frankel they decided to start work on a fun, laid back EP, "Rooted Soul." Along with a career in acting and modeling, Christian "J.Lynn" McClure proves that hard work, positive thinking, and dedication can lead to success.
